Inside: Review of Enflate, Newport’s biggest inflatable park. Press tickets supplied.

We visit South Wales quite a lot to visit friends and are always on the lookout for new things to do. Of course we always visit the beach – but what about rainy days?

Enflate is Newport’s largest inflatable park, with an inflatable maze, large balls to run across as well as a Ninja style course to try and complete. Perfect for little kids and older kids alike, with lots of sessions to suit all ages and abilities.

I’d mentioned in my Instagram Stories that I was in the area and was invited along to give it a try. I wasn’t obliged to share anything but I was so impressed that I wanted to write up a review so others can discover this gem!

Enflate Newport

What is an inflatable park?

I wish they had been around when I was younger – such a fun concept. In essence, it is a giant warehouse filled with inflatables. Think of it like a giant bouncy castle but better!

Inflatable balls Newport

Each element, such as the slides, are inflatable. So all safe to run into, fall over and bounce around.

Enflate bollards

We have been to another inflatable park near home and it was quite compact and didn’t have much to keep people occupied. Enflate, on the other hand, is housed in a massive space and has so many elements to keep you busy for your time in the park.

How long is each session?

You get an hour in the park. Which doesn’t seem very long at first but I am telling you now, once you have bounced for about 15 minutes and are hot and sweaty, you’ll be glad it is only an hour!

An hour is plenty of time to try out all of the different bouncy areas and have all the fun you need. And bonus, the kids are so exhausted afterwards they will be chilled and quiet the rest of the day!

What do I need to wear?

Shorts and a t-shirt would be best as you really do get hot. You need to purchase grip-socks (buy once and reuse for each subsequent visit) so you don’t slip all over the place. There are lockers available to put any excess clothing along with your valuables.

What else can I do there?

As you walk in they have a mini arcade area which is a great use of space and a nice way to spend your time should you arrive a little early for your time slot.

Ninja obstacle course

There is also a Ninja-style obstacle course to the side of the main inflatable area that you can try out for free. It isn’t too tricky and so older kids can attempt it on their own and little kids can do it with a little assistance from their adult.

Enflate clip n climb wall

At the back of the room is a giant climbing wall which looks amazing. You pay extra for a time slot on the various wall styles.

Enflate Newport Cafe

Upstairs has a cafe with really reasonably priced food and drink – you have to try the cupcakes as they are divine!

What age is the park for?

There are different packages and time slots to suit different ages.

  • For older kids you want to book into a Power Hour session (Age 5+)
  • If you have little ones then you can head to their toddler friendly sessions on a Saturday at 9am (Age 2-4)
  • There are family sessions during the weekdays (during school hours) which cater for toddlers and little kids.
  • They also run their Friendly sessions on a Tuesday 5pm – 6pm and Thursday 6pm – 7pm where the space is transformed for youngsters with additional needs. Capacity is reduced and music /disco lighting is turned off.

They also offer group packages too if you fancy having a party there – it would be perfect for birthdays.

Anything else?

The staff are super friendly and the whole atmosphere was fun and welcoming. We had such a fun session (followed by cake in the cafe) and we will definitely be heading back next time we are in the area!
